NEW LIFE CENTRE
Believe. Belong. Befriend.

New Life Centre is a place to Believe, Belong and Befriend neighbours. We endeavour to reach the members of our surrounding communities: La Grange, Bagotville, Nismes and beyond for Jesus. Our goal is to instill hope in the lives of our community members by assisting them in practical areas such as suicide ideation counselling, money management, dealing with conflict in marriage, prayer, and spiritual nourishment. New Life Centre holds to the biblical beliefs and practices of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and the Assemblies of God in Guyana.

Our Mission

To daily engage young people in practical areas of life such as indoor sports, homework assistance, and training in media and music ministries.

Our Vision

To reach the lost young people for Christ and to instill renewed hope in their lives as we mentor and release them to be the leaders of tomorrow.

Join us for Service

Our worship service is conducted in a contemporary style. We meet every Sunday at 10:00 am. The service lasts approximately an hour and a half, during which time we engage in Praise and Worship songs, and the reading and preaching of the Word of God. Sunday School is provided for children between the ages of 3 to 10 and runs concurrently with our worship service. So bring your entire family - there is something for everyone! We are located at 95 Old Road, Bagotville (last building on Nismes Old Road).

About New Life Centre

New Life Centre is a brand-new church plant under the leadership and affiliation of two related denominations: The Assemblies of God and the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Our mission is to instill hope in the lives of our community members by assisting them in practical areas such as suicide ideation counselling, money management, dealing with conflict in marriage, prayer, and spiritual nourishment. New Life Centre's lead pastor is Rev. Colin Gittens, a Guyanese-born Canadian with more than 35 years of pastoral ministry experience. Dorselie Gittens provides leadership to New Life Centre's community outreach and engagement initiatives.

Join our Community Events

New Life Centre works alongside a non-profit organization called Community of Hope. Our ultimate goal is to reach, care for, and assist the young members of our community to regain hope. We offer homework assistance where students meet with our tutors to receive academic help and excel in their studies. We create opportunities for community engagement through indoor sports such as table tennis, chess, dominoes and card games. We mentor young women and men for leadership in the workplace and in life. We offer counselling services where biblical-based advice and guidance is provided. We also run an automotive electrical, diagnostics and repairs course to train young people as mechanical engineers.

What is Visiting New Life Centre Like?

"What stood out to me as I worshipped at New Life Centre was the sweet fellowship among the members. Everyone was so friendly and kind, making me feel like a part of the family from the very beginning. It was a joy to meet so many wonderful people and share in their enthusiasm and faith." Anthony P.

"One of my first impressions about New Life Centre was this: The friendly atmosphere in the auditorium and the sense of peace felt, confirmed to me that the Holy Spirit was in the midst of the worship experience." A. Ram

"The first time I attended New Life Centre, I felt as though I had found a place where I belong. I was never a religious person or a church attendee, but being at NLC, I felt something special. It didn’t feel like church; it felt more like home. I recently accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and became a born again believer." A. Singh

Those who have visited New Life Centre describe it as being a warm and welcoming environment where the people are friendly, kind, and wonderful. It feels like home, people find a place they feel they belong, and they sense they are among family. The presence of the Holy Spirit is unmistakable and and the preaching is sound. A number have surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ during the service.

"I was deeply moved by the preaching. It resonated with me and truly spoke to my heart. The welcoming atmosphere of the church was also very comforting, and I felt a genuine sense of fellowship among the members. The worship experience was powerful, and I appreciated how the congregation came together in praise. I truly loved my time at New Life, and I am looking forward to returning. Thank you for the wonderful ministry you lead, and I’m excited to become more involved in the community." Felicity P.
